When we get to larger events, the amount of rubber that is laid down drastically changes from session one, to the final race. As drivers in all classes put new tyres on their karts for practice and qualifying, the rubber line thickens and becomes more visible. What this does is, it allows drivers to alter their racing line slightly to improve braking grip and also release the kart from gripping up too much.
